I'm over the moon to be able to announce that Bold Strokes Books will be publishing my new book, A Royal Romance. I came to lesfic relatively late, first reading books and stories online. I then discovered some of my favourite authors from online fiction were now published at Bold Strokes books. From there I found a treasure trove of books, and read every one I could get my hands on. So it is a dream come true for me to be joining some of my favourite authors at Bold Strokes including Radclyffe, Ali Vali and D. Jackson Leigh, amongst many others. The idea for my new book, A Royal Romance, came to me in late 2012. I saw a news report about proposed changes to the British monarchy. One of the changes included ending gender discrimination in the line of succession to the throne. It made me think, what if a future female monarch was also a lesbian? Queen Georgina, and the storyline quickly formed in my head. I hope George and Bea's story will offer a bit of old fashioned romance but in a very modern setting. A Royal Romance – Coming in 2015 Georgina, Princess of Wales, has always known her destiny, but she never expected duty to call so soon. When her father dies suddenly, she is called back from her Royal Navy post to assume the crown. While the people acclaim their new Queen, Great Britain’s first openly gay monarch, all George feels is the isolation of her station. Beatrice Elliot’s staunch anti-monarchist views have always been a point of gentle contention with her working class, royalty-loving parents. When Bea—director of a hospice charity—must spend six months working with Queen Georgina, her charity’s new patron, sparks fly and passion blooms. But is love enough to bridge the gap between Bethnal Green and Buckingham Palace?
